The Consumer Policy Research Centre is hosting a webinar, Untapped power of unpublished data, to “unveil the findings of our latest research into the publication practices of consumer complaints data among Australian regulators”. The webinar is scheduled for September 24 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm AEST and you can register for the event here.
Erin Turner, CEO of CPRC, will be facilitating the event and CPRC’s Senior Research and Policy Advisor Sarah Panckridge will be presenting the findings. The webinar will also include an expert panel constituted by Leanne Wiseman (Griffith Law School, Professor of Law), Natasha Mann (NSW Fair Trading Commissioner, Deputy Secretary) and Joseph Nunweek (WEstjustice, Legal Director).
The focus of the webinar will be the gap between Australian Consumer Law regulators and other bodies in data accessibility, and the implications thereof, as well as international examples of best practice and recommendations on improving data publishing and accessibility.
