One of CFA’s key roles is to nominate consumer representatives. Representatives are nominated by CFA to a diverse range of government and industry processes. Examples include the Board of the Financial Ombudsman Service, the Weight Management Council of Australia and numerous Standards Australia Technical Committees.
CFA is currently updating its Register of Experts. The Register lists individual CFA members and employees of CFA organisational members who have significant policy expertise in one or more areas of consumer policy. CFA will use the Register to assist in nominating consumer representatives to formal processes, and may also use the Register to assist policy agencies, industry bodies and the media get in touch with consumer experts as needed. The Register will also help CFA put members and other consumer organisations in touch with consumer policy experts.
CFA members and their employees are invited to nominate to be listed on the register. Not a CFA member? Why not find out about joining?
