The Grants Scheme is a way for ACCAN to support community projects that create versatile resources for consumers and build a strong evidence base for communications consumer advocacy. There is scope for a wide variety of projects by community organisations, small businesses, researchers and individuals. Work produced by previous ACCAN grant recipients includes academic research reports exploring specific consumer issues, education materials on consumer rights and community workshops.
The ACCAN Grants Scheme carries an annual budget of $250,000 and accepts applications during one round each year. Applicants are encouraged to apply for funding amounts appropriate to their project to a maximum of $60,000.
The 2012 Round opens today, 20 February and closes 2 April. We encourage applicants to be in touch with the ACCAN grants team to discuss your proposal before submitting an application.
