Standards bodies in Australia

Consumers require confidence in the products and services that they use. The National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) and Standards Australia are two of four bodies that form Australia’s standards and conformance infrastructure to serve the national and public interest.

NATA provides a foundation for confidence in Australia’s calibration, testing, and inspection activities; ensures that member facilities comply with relevant international and Australian standards; and formally recognises that these facilities produce reliable technical results which make the world a safer and more
certain place.

The CFA recently appointed Gail Greatorex as its representative on the NATA Council. Gail is also the CFA representative on Standards Australia Technical Committee CS-086 Burning behaviour.
