National Volunteer Week 18-24 May 2026 Your Year to Volunteer

The theme for National Volunteer Week 2026 is ‘Your Year to Volunteer’. This theme not only honours the contributions of volunteers but also encourages people across Australia to make 2026 the year they get involved and make a difference. The United Nations General Assembly has declared 2026 the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026), highlighting the vital role of volunteers in advancing sustainability. Consumers Federation of Australia (CFA) depends on volunteers who represent CFA on Standards Australia Technical Committees, as part of the CFA Standards Project, and on a range of Government and Industry bodies. CFA acknowledges their important contribution and thanks them for their generosity and support. Volunteerism goes beyond goodwill; it plays a meaningful role in building a better future.

In honour of National Volunteer Week events are held nationwide such as the Landmarks across Victoria Lighting up RED – the colour of volunteering. Discover local community celebrations, mentoring, networking, or volunteering opportunities near you:
