The cost for the community sector is only $165 per day for the two day conference. This includes evening dinner events such as the Jan Pentland Foundation dinner, pre-conference twilight forums on the 19th, and the Portraits Alive event (with live portrait painting of ten celebrity sitters).

Consumer advocates, financial counsellors and those working for an External Dispute Resolution scheme are invited to attend the EDR Forum on May 22nd, which is free of charge.

Events will be held at the Pullman Hotel, Albert Park, Melbourne, and registrations are reported to have already topped 400, which is a wonderful show of strength for a sector facing major funding uncertainty in the upcoming federal budget. FCA has yet to secure a meeting with Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews and have no indications that funding will continue – even though a new report has shown a 500 per cent return on investment in the sector.

Registrations for the event close 5 pm Wed May 7th and are available directly
from FCA.
