Representing Consumers

CFA member organisations represent consumers in the areas that are priorities for them and their members.

CFA also represents consumers directly through its advocacy activities — although these are limited at present due to a lack of resources.

One way in which CFA advances the consumer interest is through nominating and supporting consumer representatives. Standards representatives bring a consumer perspective on product and process standards through Standards Australia committees. Other consumer representatives are nominated by CFA to a range of government and industry processes. These representatives are supported by the CFA membership and wider network.
