Once every three years the Regional Telecommunications Review considers whether people in regional, rural and remote parts of Australia have equitable access to telecommunications.
The independent committee has identified five key areas of interest:
- telco issues for small businesses in regional Australia;
- telco changes needed to improve health and education in regional areas;
- communications needs of Indigenous people and communities;
- developments in the terrestrial and satellite mobile phone sector; and
- consumer issues;
