CFA Executive Member Ian Jarratt of Queensland Consumers Association is working with CHOICE on the continuing campaign for better grocery unit pricing at supermarkets and more consumer education. He has a blog plost on this topic on CHOICE’s website.
The blog identifies the main improvements needed, especially for unit prices to be much more prominent and legible. It also includes pictures of 4 examples of inadequate unit pricing in supermarkets.
The blog invites feedback on any problems people experience with unit pricing and on how they use unit prices to make better choices between grocery products.
People can also give feedback about unit pricing to Ian Jarratt by emailing unitpricing@australiamail.com
