Call for submissions on reducing emissions from wood heaters

Public consultation

On 11 April 2013, the Council of Australian Governments Standing Council on Environment and Water agreed to the release the consultation regulation impact statement for reducing emissions from wood heaters for public consultation.

Submissions

Council is now seeking public submissions from interested parties on the consultation regulation impact statement. These can be emailed to the Council using scew.secretariat@environment.gov.au.

Submissions close on Monday 15 July 2013.

Public meetings

Public meetings will be held to provide an overview of the consultation RIS and the process for making a submission.

Meetings are currently scheduled for Sydney, Canberra (Tuggeranong), Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Armidale, Launceston and Wagga.

Dates for the meetings are to be finalised and will be posted on the SCEW website as the meetings are arranged.
