Aviation Green Paper open for consultation
The Federal Government is calling for feedback on its ‘Aviation Green Paper – towards 2050’, found here.
The Green Paper is the next step in the development of the Aviation White Paper which will set the policy direction for the aviation sector out to 2050 and is likely to be released in mid-2024.
The Green Paper seeks stakeholder views on, and information about, numerous issues and questions relevant to consumers including competition, consumer protection, disability access, and sustainability.
Submissions on the Green Paper close on 30 November and can be lodged online here or by emailing aviationgreenpaper@infrastructure.gov.au.
The department will also engage with stakeholders through a series of roundtable sessions held both in-person and online during in October and November 2023. To receive updates on the public consultation events email aviationwhitepaper@infrastructure.gov.au.
Information on the public consultation events will also be posted on the department’s website once finalised.
An expression of interest process will open shortly to nominate for attendance at a roundtable session. Due to capacity requirements, an expression of interest does not guarantee attendance and an invitation will be sent to confirmed attendees following the process.
