Consumers’ Federation of Australia is seeking a volunteer consumer representative for the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) Consumer Advisory Panel. CAP was established in 1999. CAP advises ASIC on current issues faced by retail investors and consumers in the financial services and credit industries. CAP also informs ASIC’s surveillance, enforcement, policy and financial education initiatives.
CAP meets 3-4 times per year, usually in Sydney. Out-of-pocket travel expenses are covered by ASIC. More information about ASIC CAP can be found here
The successful applicant will be required to sign the CFA representatives’ agreement and abide by CFA policy on consumer representation, see here
In support of your application, please provide a short statement (half a page) stating your qualifications and capacity to represent CFA on this forum, together with short curriculum vitae.
