ATAS Complaint Appeal Committee (ACAC)
The ACAC is an independent review body specifically established under the Australian Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS) to review and determine customer complaints and allegations of non-compliance with the ATAS Charter and Code. The ACAC reviews complaints elevated to it by the Compliance Manager and can issue binding decisions, including sanctions against a Participant.
The membership of ACAC includes an independent chair, an industry representative, and a consumer representative. CFA is now seeking expressions of interest for the appointment of a consumer representative. Alternates for each of the industry and consumer representatives will be appointed as well, and we are also seeking to appoint an alternative consumer representative.
The consumer representative will be appointed for a period of one (1) year, and the alternate for two (2) years. Following that, each representative will be appointed for two years.
CFA is particularly keen to ensure there is diversity of representation among the its consumer representatives, so applications from diverse candidates are strongly welcomed. Please send your application to firstname.lastname@example.org, including a brief CV and two to three paragraph statement about your ability to represent the consumer interest, by 28 November 2022.
